This accessibility statement applies to the Edelmetalle direkt online shop. In accordance with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), we are obliged to design our website to be accessible. Here you will find an overview of the current status.

General description of the service
Purchase and sale of precious metals and purchase of old precious metals.
Explanations regarding the performance of the service
Through our website https://gold-silver-direct.com, precious metals in the form of gold and silver coins and bars are offered for both purchase and sale.
Current status of compliance with requirements
The adaptation to the requirements of the BFSG is currently in the middle of the conversion process. Unfortunately, however, the online shop does not yet fully meet the requirements of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) – the website is not completely barrier-free.
Disproportionate economic burden
Our case-by-case assessment has revealed a disproportionate economic burden. Our technical requirements and the organisational effort associated with the conversion to full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance are currently not economically justifiable in terms of actual benefits and are therefore proving to be economically unviable and technically unfeasible.
Non-accessible parts of the service – implementation deadlines
Due to the unacceptable cost/benefit ratio, it is impossible to implement accessibility in the current system. The relaunch of the shop based on new shop software that takes accessibility into account is currently in progress.
Modernisation
Until the complete transition to new shop software is complete, we will continue to work on further steps and adjustments as far as is technically and economically feasible.

Outlook: The long-term goal is, of course, full BFSG compliance (WCAG-AA). The current exemption should be regarded as a temporary measure that will remain in effect until economically and technically feasible improvements can be implemented.
